If you have watched a "let Claude trade for you" video and wondered where you can actually point the AI, this is the guide. Most prop firms give you a locked desktop terminal and nothing else. WICK FUNDED is built the opposite way: it exposes a public REST API and a one-click MCP endpoint, so you can connect Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor straight to a funded challenge and let your agent read the market and place the trades.
Here is exactly how it works — and what it can and cannot do.
What "connect your AI" actually means
WICK runs a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server at https://wickfunded.com/api/mcp. MCP is the standard that lets an AI assistant call external tools. Point any MCP-capable client at that URL, authenticate once with OAuth, and your agent gets a set of trading tools:
wick_account— balance, equity, drawdown vs the daily/max limits, profit target progresswick_candles/wick_symbols— market data your agent reads before decidingwick_positions/wick_pending— what is currently openwick_trade_open/wick_trade_close/wick_trade_modify/wick_trade_cancel— executionwick_journal/wick_consistency— performance and rule compliance
No SDK to install, no broker API keys to juggle, no VPS. Your AI reads the charts, checks how much drawdown is left, and executes — inside the risk rules of your challenge.
How to connect Claude in one click
- Create a WICK account and start a funded challenge at wickfunded.com.
- Open Settings → Developer in your dashboard and copy your MCP connection URL.
- In Claude (Desktop or the connectors panel), ChatGPT, or Cursor, add a new MCP server and paste
https://wickfunded.com/api/mcp. - Approve the OAuth prompt — this links the AI to your account only.
- Ask your agent: "Check my WICK account status and current drawdown." If it answers with your real numbers, you are connected.
From there you can tell it to analyse a pair, propose a setup within your risk limits, and place the trade — or run it on a schedule.
Why no other prop firm lets you do this
Every other prop firm sells the same thing: a manual terminal and a set of rules. To let an AI trade, they would have to build a public API and an MCP server — which means rebuilding their product. WICK started AI-native, so it is currently the only prop firm you can plug your own AI into. That is the whole point.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to be a developer? No. The MCP connection is one click in Claude or Cursor. Writing your own bot against the REST API is optional and for those who want it.
Which models work? Anything that speaks MCP — Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or a custom agent using the REST API directly.
Is my money at risk? No. WICK accounts are 100% simulated — you trade against real market prices, but no order reaches a broker and no real capital is ever exposed. It is a skill evaluation, not investing.
Can the AI break the rules and blow my account? The same risk rules (daily loss, max drawdown, profit target) apply to AI-placed trades as to manual ones. The API returns your live drawdown so your agent can stay inside the limits — but an AI can absolutely lose, so supervise it.

WICK FUNDED accounts are simulated. No income is guaranteed and past performance does not predict future results. This is not financial advice. AI can make losing trades — you are responsible for supervising any agent connected to your account.
